Sons of the American Legion present scholarships to two high school seniors

Saturday, May 5, 2018 — The Sons of the American Legion, Old Kentucky Home Squadron 121 of Bardstown recently awarded scholarships to two local high school seniors.
The group presented $750 scholarships to Brooke Hardin of Bardstown and Ariel Becker of Cox’s Creek.
Hardin is a senior at Bardstown High School and is the daughter of Tammy Hardin and Aaron Hardin. She plans to attend Morehead State University to pursue a career in education.
Becker is a senior at Bethlehem High School and is the daughter of Donald and Monique Becker of Cox’s Creek. She plans to attend Bellarmine University in the fall and major in biology and pre-med studies.
The Sons of the American Legion was founded in 1932 to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires. Members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership. The Sons of the American Legion are part of the 4.2 milllion member strong Legion family that also includes the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary.
