Obituary: Lois Ann Fogle, 84, Lebanon
Lois Ann Fogle, 84, of Lebanon, died Friday May 4, 2018, with her family by her side. She was a former Marion County Circuit Clerk and had been retired for 20 years. She was a people person who loved to make people laugh. What she liked best about her job in the court house was seeing, talking and joking with everyone. One of Lois’s campaign slogans was “Your friend in the courthouse”. She enjoyed being with family and friends, the many Fogle and Ryan family reunions and loved the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and current member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Billy Fogle; her parents Joe and Mabel Ryan of Lebanon; two brothers Bill Ryan (Hettie) and Sam Ryan (Margie); one sister Emma O’Bryan (Earl) of Louisville.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Fogle (Steve) of Lexington, Fran Fogle of Lebanon and Beth Jensen (Jeff) of Omaha, Neb.; three sons, Louie Fogle (Fonda) of Crestwood, Joey Fogle of Louisville and Sam Fogle (Lena) of Fairfield, Ohio; four sisters, Mary Vittitow, Barbara Ryan (Jo), Patsy Ryan, and Nancy Ryan; two brothers, Joe Ryan (Becky) and Tony Ryan (Lou); nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 235 South Spalding Ave, Lebanon, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018, and 2- 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a 7 p.m. Wednesday prayer service.
Pallbearers are Mike Fogle, Ben Fogle, Max Fogle, Caleb Fogle, Jack Fogle, Ryan Jensen, Jimmy Vittitow and David Vittitow.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
