Obituary: Mary Virginia Dant, 96, Nazareth
Mary Virginia Dant, 96, of Nazareth, died Saturday, May 5, 2018, at her residence. She was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Detroit to the late Charles Eric and Susan Cleophas O’Bryan Dant. She was a retired registered nurse from the Veteran’s Administration in Lexington and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Wallace Dant and George Sydney Dant; one nephew, Michael Dant; and one niece, Rebecca Dant Stolte.
She is survived by five nephews, Eric Dant of Bardstown, Joe Pat Dant and John Dant, both of Louisville, Paul Dant of Lexington and Charles Douglas Dant of New Hope; three nieces, Susan Witt of Lexington, Kathleen Culver of Louisville and Amy Dant of New Hope; two sister-in-laws, Louise Dant and Estelle Nally, both of New Hope and two special caregivers, Shelia Bickett and Rosemary Godby of Bardstown.
The family has followed her wishes for cremation.
The Memorial Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Hope with burial in the church cemetery.
The family request that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery Fund.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
