Obituary: Donald Lee Morgan, 86, Mount Washington

Donald Lee Morgan, 86, of Mount Washington, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at his home. He was a retired employee of Raymond Construction, and most recently, a retired employee of McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home. He was very active in his community, serving 50-plus years as a member of Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #57, Scottish Rite, Kosair Shrine, a 50-plus year member of the Mount Washington Lions Club, a Kentucky Colonel, as well as a member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington, and a proud U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jo Hardin Morgan; his parents, Vivian Lee and Madge Morgan; his stepmother who raised him, Lona W. Green; and one brother, Rollin Cole Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Renee’ Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Mount Washington with burial in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.

Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2018, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.

Memorial gifts in Don’s memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington or Kosair Shrine Temple.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Hosparus, and personal friends that came to us in this time of need.
