Obituary: Linda ‘Moe’ Hutchins Mills, 74, Mount Washington

Linda “Moe” Hutchins Mills, 74, of Mount Washington, died Thursday, May 17, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Marion County. She was a former homemaker and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mount Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Liquori Sims Hutchins; six sisters, Lorene Miles, Mauritia Ballard, Mary Grace Mattingly, Mary Ann Gardner, Sybil Blair and Mary Catherine Willett; five brothers, Leon Hutchins, Gerald Hutchins, Teenie Hutchins, Harold Hutchins and Marvin Hutchins; and twin infant grandchildren, Travis Mills and Cody Mills.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James “J. W.” Mills; one daughter, Debbie Glasscock (Bruce) of Mount Washington; two sons, Allen Mills and Bryan Mills (Christy), both of Mount Washington; two sisters, Christine Lanham (Robert) of Loretto and Barbara Southerland of Louisville; two brothers, Howard Hutchins (Sarah) of Loretto and Herbert Hutchins (Sarah) Louisville; and three grandchildren, Erin McConnell (Shaun), Kindal Mills and Andrew Glasscock.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto with the Rev. Dale Cieslik officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Memorial donations may go to Hosparus Health of Louisville, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Dr. Louisville, KY 40205 and Mass of the Air, 508 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY 40207.

Pallbearers are Andrew Glasscock, Todd Mattingly, Bill Hutchins, Gerald Hutchins, Keith Hutchins and Chris Miles.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
