Obituary: Margaret Frances Hilbert, 89, Taylorsville

Margaret Frances Hilbert, 89, of Taylorsville, died passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, at her residence. She was the former Margaret Sweazy, born Oct. 16, 1928, in Nelson County to the late Earl and Naomi Frances Reynolds Sweazy. She was a homemaker, a custodian for the former Bourbon Stock Yards, a secretary and Sunday school teacher at the former First Assembly of God where she was the oldest living member. She was a member of Taylorsville Community Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Roy Hilbert; one son, Bobby Glenn Hilbert; one granddaughter, Lyndsay Hilbert; and a great-grandson, Andrew Goodlett.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheryl (Gerald) Robinson and Alisa (David) Shelburne, both of Taylorsville; three sons, James M. (Hazel) Hilbert of Mount Washington, William L. (Patricia) Hilbert of Cox’s Creek, and Stephen Wayne (Diana) Hilbert of Taylorsville; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville with Bro. Chad Goodlett and Bro. Tom Sparrow officiating. Burial is in Valley Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018, at the funeral home.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements.
