Obituary: Barbara Jean Schorz, 87, Howardstown

BARBARA JEAN SHORZ

Barbara Jean Schorz, 87, of Howardstown, formerly of Louisville, died Friday, May 18, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a former stewardess for United Airlines and a proud Navy wife and homemaker who volunteered with children with disabilities for many years. She was a member of St. Peter Episcopal Church in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Henry Schorz; three infant children; her parents, David and Clara Duggan Olson; and a sister, Gloria Pauly.

She is survived by one daughter, Theresa (William) Lyons of Howardstown; one son, John Schorz of Howardstown; one brother, John Olson of Minnesota; and one grandson, Willie Lyons of Howardstown.

Visitation is 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
