Obituary: Robert Lewis Harris, 64, New Haven

Robert Lewis Harris, 64, of New Haven, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at University Hospital in Louisville. He was raised in the New Hope community and worked as a carpenter before he became disabled. He was born Jan. 3, 1954, in New Hope to the late Benjamin Robert and Geraldine Price Harris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Flora Harris, Dora Harris and Martha Reed; and two brothers, Robert Earnest Harris and Larry Harris.

He is by two sisters, Jane (Billie) Bell of Raywick and Barbara (Rick) Newton of Bardstown; two brothers, Ricky Harris and Joe Harris, both of Hodgenville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date at Highview cemetery.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven, is in charge of arrangements.
