No bull: Police searching for cow off KY 245 near Newcomb Oil Co.
Monday, June 13, 2011, 3:04 p.m. — Bardstown Police are searching the woods between Newcomb Oil on KY 245 and Camptown Road for an escaped cow. The animal escaped from Central Kentucky Animal Clinic, 131 W. John Rowan, about 2:45 Monday. The animal traveled east on KY 245, crossed North Third Street and continued east until officers were able to corral it off the roadway near the Newcomb Oil driveway. Officers reported the animal’s owner authorized them to put it down if it threatened to be a hazard to traffic on the KY 245 roadway. Officers were joined in the search by staff members from the animal clinic.
4:53 p.m. — Officers have returned to Camptown Road after the animal was spotted in the area. The owner has been advised.
