Bardstown man arrested by police on child pornography charges

Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 1:45 p.m. — A Bardstown man was arrested by Bardstown police early Wednesday morning on child pornography charges after an investigation by the city police’s new cyber crimes unit.
Harry Samuels Houck II, 24, of Bardstown, was arrested just after midnight and charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, a Class D felony.
Houck’s residence on Patriot Drive was the subject of a search warrant that was executed Tuesday night about 11:30. The Bardstown police were assisted by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, the Secret Service and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office. During the search of Houck’s house, various electronic items were seized for forensic review. Police said Houck cooperated with investigators. That investigation is ongoing. Officer Jason Woodson is the investigating officer.
According to police, a second, unrelated investgation resulted in a search warrant executed at a different location. Electronics at that location were confiscated for forensic review, but to arrest was made. That investigation is continuing.
