Bardstown firefighters respond for active alarm at Mammy’s Kitchen

Sunday, July 1, 2018 — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Saturday night about 10 p.m. to Mammy’s Kitchen restaurant, 116 West Stephen Foster, for an active fire alarm.
A phone call from the restaurant confirmed there was a strong electrical smell in the building’s second floor area. Firefighters arrived and checked the second floor area, the roof, as well as air handlers in the building. Crews determined the source of the odor was an electrical problem firefighters located.
Firefighters were at the restaurant for about 90 minutes.
