Obituary: Sylvia Thomas O’Bryan, 80, formerly of Marion County

Sylvia Thomas O’Bryan, 80, of Salem, Ill., formerly of Marion County, died Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Salem Township Hospital in Salem, Ill.

She is survived by her husband, Billy O’Bryan of Salem; one son, William “Bill” O’Bryan (Melissa) of Salem, Ill.; two sisters, Barbara Thomas of Inglewood, Fla., and Cathy Mattingly (David) of Lebanon; three brothers, Ron Thomas (Bernadine) of Raywick, Everett Thomas (Brenda) of Lebanon, and Gerald Thomas of Campbellsville; and two grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Calvary with burial in St. Rose Cemetery in Springfield.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, and 7-9 a.m. Friday at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield.

The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
