Obituary: Jewell Annette Edwards, 70, Bloomfield

Jewell Annette Edwards, 70, of Bloomfield, died Friday, July 6, 2018, at her residence. She was born Aug. 22, 1947, in Chaplin to Kenneth and Nancy Hood Simpson. She was a former bookkeeper for Big 3 Tractor. She loved to sew and was a member of Chaplin Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Simpson; and her brother, Kenny Simpson.

She is survived by her husband, Stevie Edwards; two daughters, Becky (Timmy) Johnson of Bardstown and Stephanie (Barry) Stone of Louisville; one son, Brett (J.J.) Edwards of Louisville; her mother, Nancy Simpson of Chaplin; one sister, Carol (Terry) Bowling of Chaplin; one brother, Danny (Mary) Simpson of Chaplin; one sister-in-law, Sandy Simpson of Bardstown; and five grandchildren, Morgan Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Brandy Edwards, Zach Edwards and Kevin Stone.

The funeral is 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research.

The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
