Fire department hydrant testing program continues week of July 9th

Monday, July 9, 2018 — The City of Bardstown Fire Department’s annual fire hydrant testing program is underway.

On Monday, July 9, 2018, through Friday, July 13, 2018, the Bardstown Fire Department will be testing hydrants in specific areas of the city. These area will include:

Bloomfield Road Area, including:

  • Wildcat Ln, Caney Fork, Buchannon Ave, Atkinson Hill, Pennebaker Ave, Pineview Dr, Scotch Ct, and Evergreen Ct.

Bloomfield Road South of 245, including:

  • Collins St, Madison Ave, Wickland Dr, Reardon Blvd, Bard Ave, Federal Place, Commerce Blvd, O’Finn Ct, Old Bloomfield Pike, Lifecare Way

Cottage Grove Subdivision

Salem Hills Subdivision

Bourbon Downs Subdivision

During testing, customers in these areas may experience discolored water or air in the lines. Please allow your faucet to run for a few minutes to clear any sediment particles and air bubbles that may have been trapped in your service lines.
