Obituary: Robert Kenneth Mattingly II, 49, Bardstown

Robert Kenneth Mattingly II, 49, of Bardstown, died July 9, 2018, at his residence. He was born Aug. 2, 1968, in Marion County to the late Robert K. “Bobby” and Janice Cissell Mattingly. He was a former employee of the old Holiday Inn in Bardstown and Cozy Corner Tavern in Loretto. He attended St. Catharine College and earned a bachelor’s degree in business.

Survivors include three sisters, Karen Mattingly (Mark Nigro) of Berea, Diane Mattingly (Criss Helmkamp) of Elizabethtown, and Joan Mattingly of Lexington; two nieces, Kelli Mattingly of Colorado and Emily Nigro of Berea; one nephew, Jonathan Foster (Cassie) of Nicholasville; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto, with the Rev. Bryan Lamberson officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer services at 7 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Memorials donations may go to Participation Station, 138 Robin Drive, Bardstown, KY 40004.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
