Obituary: Michael ‘Mike’ G. Mudd, 64, Cox’s Creek

Michael “Mike” G. Mudd, 64, of Cox’s Creek, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 8, 1953, in Bardstown to the late Joseph W. “Bill and Jewell Pauline Price Mudd. He was a former employee of Heaven Hill. Mike loved to be outdoors fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, horseback riding and a big UK basketball fan and of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Mudd, Mark Mudd, Jerry Mudd and Joe Mudd; and two sisters, Martha Dross and Brenda Downs.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Robin Kennedy Mudd; two sons, Joseph Marion “Joey” Mudd of Bardstown and Scott Mudd of New Haven; six sisters, Janie (Tony) Farnsworth of Tenn., Anita Mudd, Linda Humphrey, Mary Ballard all of Bardstown, Becky Mudd of Bloomfield, and Gleada Spalding of Louisville; two brothers, David Mudd and Charlie Mudd, both of Bardstown; two granddaughters, Jolene Mudd and Amber Mudd; and several nieces, nephews.

The family has chosen cremation. The memorial service is 4 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Cox’s Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Bratcher officiating.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
