Obituary: Morris Lee Sweasy, 62, Bardstown

Morris Lee Sweasy, 62, of Bardstown, died Monday, July 16, 2018, at his residence. He was born Nov. 10, 1955, in Louisville to the late Gilbert and Doris Lee Wyatt Sweasy. He was a graduate of Campbellsville University, a former employee of Texas Instruments, and a member of the former Chaplin Fork Baptist Church. He touched the lives of everyone he met and he will be missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Sweasy.

He is survived by his wife, Clarendia Morris Sweasy; two daughters, Morenda (Chris) Ferguson and Marquita Sweasy, both of Bardstown; two brothers, Randy (Carolyn) Sweasy of Shepherdsville, and Kenny (Liz) Sweasy of Colorado; and two grandchildren, Aimie Ferguson and Aiden Ferguson.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Mike Thompson officiating. Burial is in the Mount Washington Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
