CHARLES LOYD DOAN
Charles Loyd Doan, 81, of Louisville, died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Glen Ridge Health Solutions in Louisville. He was born Sept. 25, 1936, in Louisville to the late Abraham Lincoln and Gertrude Leach Doan. He was a former employee of CSX Railroad and General Electric. He enjoyed being out on his farm and woodworking. He was a member of the Shepherdsville Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Dean Doan; one sister, Helen Siers; and three brothers, Kenneth Doan, Ronnie Doan and Stanley Doan.
He is survived by two sons, Greg (Sheila) Doan of Shepherdsville and Donnie(Debbie) Doan of Bardstown; two brothers, Jimmy Doan of North Carolina and Bill (Corine) Doan of Louisville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
Visitation is noon-6:30 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018, at the funeral home.
The family requests memorial contributions go to the Shepherdsville Christian Church.
