Obituary: Charles Russell ‘Rusty’ Netherton, 64, Taylorsville

Charles Russell “Rusty” Netherton, 64, of Taylorsville, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at his residence. He was born Dec. 15, 1953, in Louisville to the late Tom and Opha Taylor Netherton. He was a farmer, loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He was member of the Little Union Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Helton; and three brothers Cecil, Jimmy and Jerry Darnell.

He is survived by one daughter, Leeann Goodlett (Jeremy Hardin); one son, Troy Netherton ( Casey Turnes); one sister, Marjorie Bowman of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Chelsea Goodlett, Hannah Goodlett and Jacob Goodlett; and four stepgrandchildren, Makenzie Turnes, Lelund Turnes, Luke Hardin and Emilee Hardin.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Burial is in Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
