Obituary: Jonell N. Boone, 72, Bardstown

JONELL N. BOONE

Jonell N. Boone, 72, of Bardstown, died Friday, July 27, 2018, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born July 28, 1945, in Stiles to the late David and Alma Noel Stiles. She was a retired employee of Farmers Bank and Trust Co. for 30 years (now Town & Country Bank) where she was the head teller and head of new accounts. She was currently retired with 10 years of service as a clerk at the City of Bardstown. She was the 1st vice president of the Stephen Foster Music Club from 2017-2018 and was former president from 1999-2001, and past treasurer. She was a member of Bardstown Baptist Church where she served as treasurer and former member of Administrative Council Committee..

She is survived by her husband, Mike Boone; one daughter, Ashley (Scott) Brown of Bardstown; one sister, Sue (Bob) Lane of New Albany, Ind.; one brother, Calvin (Debbie) Stiles of Stiles; and two granddaughters, Reagan Brown and Macy Brown.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Bardstown Baptist Church with Dr. Randal Pollock officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

The family requests memorial contributions go to Bardstown Baptist Church or Flaget Cancer Center.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
