Obituary: Mary A. ‘Bobbie’ O’Daniel Cox, 86, Bardstown

Mary A. “Bobbie” O’Daniel Cox, 86, of Bardstown, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at her residence. She was born Jan. 29, 1932, in Lebanon to the late Virgil and Trixie Aldridge McGill. She and her late husband, William Adrian O’Daniel, were the former owners of Tom Pigs Restaurant for 20-plus years. She was a member of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Otis Cox; and one son, James Dennis O’Daniel.

She is survived by one daughter-in-law, LeeAnn O’Daniel of Louisville; four grandchildren, Heather Jesse, Adrianne O’Daniel VanMeter, James Dylan O’Daniel and James Dustin O’Daniel, all of Louisville; five great-grandchildren; and one nephew whom she raised, Columbus O’Bryan of Bardstown.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the St. Thomas Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
