Obituary: Timothy Wayne ‘Tim’ Redmon, 54, Bardstown
Timothy Wayne “Tim” Redmon, 54, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 24, 1963, in Shelby County to the late Raymond and Mary Pauline Sloan Redmon. He was a former employee of American Fuji Seal, and former Shelby County firefighter. He loved woodworking, his grandchildren and working in his yard. He was a telecommunications specialists in the Army National Guard with HHC 63rd AVN Group in Frankfort.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael D. Bauer; and his father-in-law Jimmy Bauer.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bauer Redmon; three daughters, Jennifer (Ben Durbin) Bauer and Wadena (Donnie Gilkey) Willis, both of Bardstown, and Shannon Redmon of Louisville; two sons, David (Julie) Willis of Mount Washington and Dustin (Tiffany) Redmon of Brandenburg; three sisters, Debbie (Dennis) Cox of Shelbyville, Joana (Allen) Lear of Simpsonville and Diana Redmon of Salt Lake City; one brother, Danny Redmon of Shelbyville; his stepfather, Albert Cooley of Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his two beloved dogs, Yogi and Casper.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with William Lyons and David Siders officiating. Burial is in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, and after 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
