Obituary: James Cecil Jones, 68, Bardstown

James Cecil Jones, 68, of Bardstown, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, at his residence. He was born Oct. 16, 1949, in Glen’s Fork to the late James Herbert and Frances Flippin Jones. He was a carpenter and radio D.J. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by two daughters, Angie Crowe of Bardstown and Stephany Jones of Michigan; four sons, Jabari Jones, Trae Jones, Terry Crowe and Angelo Crowe, all of Bardstown; three sisters, Freda Hayes of Flint, Mich., Darline Jones of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Nora Jones of Bardstown; three brothers, Claude D. Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., Gilbert W. Jones of Bloomfield and Johnnie L. Jones of Grand Blanc, Mich.; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at the Lebanon National Cemetery.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
