RITA OSBOURNE LIVERS
Rita Osbourne Livers, 69, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was born Feb. 26, 1949, in Louisville. She was retired co-owner, office manager, and bookkeeper of Livers Body Shop for 45 years. She graduated from Old Kentucky Home High School, and was a member of St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church where she was a PTO officer, helped with Lenten Missions, RCIA Retreat, Women’s Retreat and other activities such as church decorating. She helped organize and worked with groups during renovation of the church, and was involved in Marriage Encounter Movement for two years. She liked to read, do yard work, scrapbooking, cooking and being with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Elmer Livers; and her parents, Joseph Patrick and Frances Evelyn Miles Osbourne.
She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Renee Harris of Louisville; one son, Jason Neal Livers of Bardstown; seven sisters, Frances (John) Moon of Prospect, Linda (Elbert) Stallings of Cox’s Creek, Joann (John) Hutchins and Wanda (Jim) Craig, both of Bardstown, Sheila J. Osbourne of Florida, and Debbie (Mark) Thompson and Mary Margaret “Peggy” Osbourne, both of Cox’s Creek; three brothers, Charles (Regina) Osbourne of Indiana, Joe (Debbie) Osbourne of Mount Washington, and James (Sylvia) Osbourne of Taylorsville; four grandchildren, Cameron Patrick Harris, Olivia Grace Harris, Hunter Lanis Livers, and Madison Brooke Livers; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church in Samuels with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Peter Do officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church or the school.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
