Local woman gets veteran’s flag returned with help of local American Legion posts

The Riders helped transport a fallen veteran’s funeral flag that Marks found at a local consignment store back to the deceased veteran’s family in Petersburg, Ind. Marks purchased the flag for $45 in hopes to finding a way to get it back to the family of Samuel A. Steward. She found assistance from American Legion Post 42, who put her in touch with the Shepherdsville Riders group, who transported the flag to the veteran’s family members.
