One person injured Thursday in single-vehicle crash near Nazareth Farms

Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 — One person was injured early Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Louisville Road near the Nazareth Farms subdivision.
According to a Nelson County Sheriff’s Office press release, just before 2 a.m., Thursday, Kevin Mudd, 35, was driving south on Louisville Road when his car ran off the left side of the road, struck an earthen embankment near Abbey Ridge Road, and came to a stop near Tree Top Drive.
Nelson County EMS treated the victim at the scene and transported him to Flaget Memorial Hospital where he was transferred to a medical helicopter and flown to University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
According to the investigating officers, alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
In addition to EMS, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife and Bardstown Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.
Deputy Brandon Bryan of the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash and provided the information in the press release.
