Obituary: Joseph Albert ‘Joe’ Johnston Jr., 60, Loretto
Joseph Albert “Joe” Johnston Jr., 60, of Loretto, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He was born March 23, 1958, in Marion County to the late Joseph Albert and Margie Willett Johnson. He was a woodworker, a farmer, an avid fisherman and UK fan.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Johnston.
Survivors include one son, Daniel Johnston (Sarah Ford) of Loretto; one daughter, Cecelia Johnston (Matthew Brady) of Lebanon; three sisters, Alice Marie Johnston of Louisville, Patty Hamilton (Norbert) of Loretto and Amy Thomas (Joe) of Mount Washington; four brothers, Eddie Johnston (Martha) of Louisville, Mike Johnston (Betty) of Bardstown, David Johnston (Patricia) of Mount Washington and John Johnston (Dawn) of Fisherville; and six grandchildren, Alexander Ford, Madison Ford, Timothy Ford, Kayden Corbett, Chloe Johnston and Brantley Greer.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon with the Rev. David W. Naylor officiating. Cremation will follow the Mass.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
