Obituary: Norma McClellan Shehan, 82, Glendale
Norma McClellan Shehan, 82, of Glendale, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Jefferson County and attended Atherton High School. She graduated from Cornell University and was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She was a longtime member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She lived and worked in Denver, Colo., as an interior designer for Desks Inc. She returned to Kentucky in 1968 when she married Ted Shehan. She formerly served as vice chairman of Hardin County Republician Party. She was also a longtime member of Glendale Homemakers and the Hardin County Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Thelma Reinhart McClellan; her husband, Ted Shehan; one son, Patrick M. Shehan; and one grandson, Kevin Lee Shehan.
She is survived by two stepchildren, T. Hunter Shehan II (Jana) of Bloomfield and Beverly (Dwight) Richardson of White Mills; five grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was 10 a.m. Saturday at St Ignatius Catholic Church in White Mills with the Rev. Ben Brown officiating. Burial was at Big Spring Cemetery in Bloomfield, KY.
The Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown was in charge of arrangements.
