Obituary: Theresa Lynn Whitlock McDowell, 58, Buffalo

Theresa Lynn Whitlock McDowell, 58, of Buffalo, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at her home surrounded by family. She was a Christian by faith. She had 22 years of service with the child and protective services of Hardin County. She was born to the late James Donald Whitlock and her mother, Anna Joyce Salsman Whitlock. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother who loved her family deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Michael McDowell; her father, James Donald Whitlock; and one brother, James Gregory Whitlock.

She is survived by three daughters, Tessa (Jake) Fouts of Frankfort, Emily (Josh) McDowell of Hodgenville, and Kimberly (Jordon) Cron of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sons, David (Claire) Whitlock of Hodgenville and Michael (Leah) McDowell of Bowling Green; her mother, Anna Joyce Salsman Whitlock; one brother, Dwayne (Debbie) Whitlock; 14 grandchildren, Reese Ann Whitlock, Kennady Whitlock, Beckham McDowell, Lakyn McDowell, Brynna Fouts, Scarlett Fouts, Emmy Sloane Fouts, Kinlee McDowell, Kasin McDowell, Kruz McDowell, Kolton McDowell, Max Cron, Jasper Cron, and Piper Cron; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with Bro. Jonathan Carl and Deacon Billy Whitlock officiating. Burial is in the Mount Tabor Church Cemetery in Buffalo.

Visitation is 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, and 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at the funeral home.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, is in charge of arrangements.
