Obituary: Mary Nell Apollos, 78, Bloomfield

Mary Nell Apollos, 78, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at Highlands Health & Rehabilitation Center in Louisville. She was born April 17, 1940, in Spencer County to the late Homer and Nell Ray Apollos. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Alexis Apollos Sr.; and a nephew, Curtis Apollos.

She is survived by her nephew, Sam “Lex” (Bobbie) Apollos Jr. of Lexington.

The funeral is noon Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Leland Parks officiating. Burial is in the Gamaliel Cemetery in Gamaliel.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – noon Friday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
