Obituary: James Ward ‘Cowboy’ Stice, 76, Lebanon Junction

James Ward “Cowboy” Stice, 76, of Lebanon Junction, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Norton Hospital. He was a Baptist by faith and worked as a lineman for General Electric.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Stice and Lucy Marie Logsdon Ditsch; one daughter, Crystal Gale Stice; five brothers, Leo, Bobby Leo, Tony and Jimmy Stice and Harold David Howard; and one sister, Darvin Marie Stice.

Survivors include his second wife, Lois Abell; his children, Rocky Lane Stice, Rodney Lane Stice (Denise), Jacqueline Marchetia Keefer (Tim), Sammy James Stice (Misty), Jason Leon Stice (Trisha), Angel Marie Stice-Miller (Tim), Samantha Mae Green (Chris) and Jamie Marie Stice (T.J.); three sisters, Joyce Talley, Reba May and Tina Gividen; one brother, Chris Stice; 27 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at Kappel Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Rodgers officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation is after 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at the funeral home.

Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
