Obituary: Cyril Rogers, 65, Cox’s Creek

Cyril Rogers, 65, of Cox’s Creek, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 20, 1953, in Nelson County. He retired from Iron Works and attended St. Gregory Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Mildred Rogers; one sister, Barbara Garrett; and four brothers, Paul Rogers, Dallas Rogers, Billy Rogers, and Justin Rogers.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Peggy Barnes Rogers of Cox’s Creek; one son, Casey Rogers of Bardstown; one sister, Lynnette Williams of Irvington; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen with no services.

Memorial contributions may go to Hospice of Nelson County or American Cancer Society.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
