Obituary: Judith Ray ‘Judy’ Hahn, 72, Bardstown

Judith Ray “Judy” Hahn, 72, of Bardstown, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born July 19, 1946, in Chaplin to the late Virgil “Dutch” and Catherine Blanton Hahn. She was a retired teacher with the Nelson County Board of Education for 30 years. She was a graduate of Nazareth College and the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Nelson County Retired Teachers Association and My Old Kentucky Home Chapter #436 Order of the Eastern Star. She was known for her quick wit, her love of clothes and her beloved cat Princess.

She was preceded in death by her brother Virgil Lee Hahn.

She is survived by one niece, Kathy “Hap” Girouard of Tyler, Texas; three nephews, Lee (Benita) Hahn Jr. of Louisville, Roy T. (Vicki) Hahn of Tyler, Texas, and Lt. Colonel Allen (Penny) Hahn of Fort Worth, Texas; and several great nieces and nephews.

The graveside service is 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
