Obituary: James ‘Jim’ Newton McCubbins, 68, Shepherdsville

James “Jim” Newton McCubbins, 68, of Shepherdsville, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at his home. He was honored to serve as a Vietnam veteran in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Selby Patterson McCubbins and Dorothy Etherton.

He is survived by one brother, Jack McCubbins (Juanita) of Chaplin; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at the Maraman-Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville.

The Maraman-Billings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
