Obituary: Joseph Patrick Snellen, 60, Bloomfield

Joseph Patrick Snellen, 60, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at his residence. He was born April 17, 1958, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Joseph Darvin and Virginia Velotindos Snellen. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Snellen.

He is survived by one daughter, Jamie (Malcolm) Cummings of St. Louis, Mo.; one son, Joe (Gracemarie) Snellen of Sebring, Fla.; one sister, Cheri (Henry) McCoy of Viera, Fla.; his brother, Jim (Donna) Snellen of Bardstown; six grandchildren, Malcolm Cummings, Alexandria Cummings, Amiyah Cummings, Anthony Snellen, Michael Snellen and Christian Snellen; and the mother of his children, Patty Polo.

A remembrance service is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Minhs Vu officiating. Cremation was chosen by the family.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
