One person injured in Sunday tractor rollover accident on Tom Greer Road

Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 — One person was injured Sunday afternoon when a farm tractor rolled over, trapping the operator underneath.

The Nelson County Fire Department, Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 12:52 p.m. Sunday for a report of a man trapped beneath an overturned tractor at an address in the 1600 block of Tom Greer Road not farm from the Washington-Nelson County line.

Firefighters spent about 20 minutes extricating the victim from beneath the tractor. The victim was treated at the scene by Nelson County EMS and then transported to nearby field where the patient was transferred to a medical helicopter and flown to a Louisville hospital for additional treatment.

First-responders were on the scene until about 2:20 p.m.
