Sisters of Charity of Nazareth hosting state senator, representative candidate forums

Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 — The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth are hosting candidate forums that will feature the candidates for 50th District state representative and 14th District state senator.

6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 – 50th District State Representative candidate forum at O’Connell Hall on the Nazareth campus featuring incumbent state Rep. Chad McCoy (R) and Democratic challenger James DeWeese.

6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 – 14th District State Senator candidate forum set for O’Connell Hall on the Nazareth campus featuring incumbent Sen. Jimmy Higdon (R) and Democrat Stephanie Compton.

Each forum is expected to last about an hour. The candidates have been provided with the questions in advance, which are based on Catholic social teaching.

The forums are sponsored by the SCN Office of Social and Environmental Justice.
