Obituary: Gary Wayne Underwood, 51, Boston
Gary Wayne Underwood, 51, of Boston, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018. He was born in Louisville on June 11, 1967, to Clorine and James W. Underwood. He retired from Roman-Hass where he worked as a chemical operator and was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a real outdoors man. He loved fishing and shooting. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

Among those preceding him in death are his father, James W. Underwood; and his sister-in-law, April Underwood.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Christopher Underwood (Nicole), Hannah Underwood, Cory Carter, and Crystal Carnell (Randy); his mother, Clorine Underwood; two sisters, Betty Armour (Richard, and Barbara Etherton (Terry); five brothers, Ricky Underwood, Darrell Underwood (Cathy), Ronald Underwood (Aldora), Mark Underwood (Jennifer), and Robert Underwood (Debbie); two special sisters, Myra Arnett and Mary Crigler;
five grandchildren, Christopher, Bridget, Katrina, Lucas, and Nathan; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
The funeral is noon Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, and 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
The Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
