First Cedar Creek church will ‘Pink Out’ this Sunday for breast cancer awareness

Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will PINK-OUT this Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, for Breast Cancer Awareness. Linda Keeling, a breast cancer survivor for more than 20 years, has been the leader of the PINK OUT remembrance and celebration day at Cedar Creek for as many years. Candles will be lit in memory of those of our church family who have lost the battle to breast cancer: Shirley Bodine, Beverly Brady, Wanda Pennington, Myrtle Lucas, and Gladys Barnes. Church family members who are survivors of breast cancer include Mary Ellen Ritchie, Anetta Young, Dorothy Watson, Dot Combs, Cindy Mercer Metcalf, Agnes Morris, and Linda Keeling. To commemorate the day, the church grounds will be decorated in pink and attendees are encouraged to wear pink.

The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church offers Bible Study for all ages each Sunday at 9:45am. Two worship services are held each Sunday – morning worship service at 11:00am and evening worship service at 7:00pm. During the morning worship service a nursery for infants and toddlers is provided. Children’s church for ages 4-7 is held upstairs during the sermon portion of the 11:00am service.
