Obituary: Larry Ray McGuire, 63, Cox’s Creek

LARRY RAY MCGUIRE

Larry Ray McGuire, 63, of Cox’s Creek, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018. He was born in Louisville on April 13, 1955, to the late John and Virginia McGuire. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Bardstown Branch but was a longtime member of the Louisville 1st Ward. He served in many positions of responsibility to build his Father’s kingdom including, clerk, executive secretary, Elder’s Quorum President and Sunday School Teacher. He loved to spend time with his family, enjoyed film, television and travel.

He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Donna McDaniels (Nolan); one brother, Ricky McGuire (Debra); his nieces and nephews, Craig Mulhall, April Patterson, Keith Mulhall, Jennifer Forcht, Eric McGuire and Sara Guinn; several great-nieces and nephews; his dear friends and a host of other family.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

Visitation is 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.

The Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
