Obituary: Jackie Wilson Elmore, 57, Taylorsville

Jackie Wilson Elmore, 57, of Taylorsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at his residence. He was born June 18, 1961, in Spencer County to the late Joseph and Ruth Vires Elmore Sr. He was a retired employee of Suburban Sanitation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Elmore and Jerry Elmore.

He is survived by four sisters, Marie Elmore and Betty (Charles) Armstrong, both of Taylorsville, Maggie (Carnell) Hicks of Shelbyville, and Susan Harris of Bloomfield; two brothers, Joseph Elmore Jr. of Louisville, and James Elmore of Taylorsville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Cremation was chosen by the family with no public services.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements.
