Obituary: Margie Elizabeth Spalding, 95, Bardstown
Margie Elizabeth Spalding, 95, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Loretto Motherhouse. She was born March 16, 1923, in Fredericktown. She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem Spalding; one daughter, Sue Ann Rogers; her parents, Bert and Prudie Mudd; and four brothers, Bobby Mudd, Parker Mudd, Paul Mudd, and John Mudd.
She is survived by one daughter, Joanie Offutt (Rob) of Bardstown; two sons, Bill Spalding (Donna) of Versailles and Steve Spalding (Tina) of Bardstown; one sister, Rose Ziegler (Ray) of Louisville; two brothers, Phil Mudd of Mount Washington and Jim Mudd (Shirley) of Bardstown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, and 8-9:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may go to the second floor caregivers of the Loretto Motherhouse.
