Obituary: Clara Smith Carrico, 91, Springfield
Clara Smith Carrico, 91, of West High St., Springfield, died at 2:14 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Center in Danville. She is the widow of the late Maurice Carrico.
She is survived by four daughters, Helen (Mark) Warren of Springfield, Charlene (James) Mann of Winchester, Nancy (Tommy) Satterley of Shepherdsville and Lenora (Glenn) Abrams of Plover, Wisc.; one son, Kevin Maurice (Marsha) Carrico of Louisville; four sisters, Sarah Frances (Joe) Jones of Louisville, Rebecca (Jimmy) Carrico, Regina (Leo) Carrico and Faye (Roy) Smith, all of Springfield; four brothers, Joe Murray (Imelda) Smith of Warner Robbins, Ga., Albertus (Linda) Smith of Bardstown, Robert (Beverly) Smith of Campbellsville and Bernard (Rosemary) Smith of Louisville; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Springfield with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, and 7-10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
