Obituary: Keith Hatfield, 88, Bardstown

Keith Hatfield, 88, of Bardstown, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. He was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Bullitt County. He was a farmer, hauled and spread lime, raised Charolais cattle, and was a member of American International Charolais Association. He was member of the Bardstown Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Kathleen Hatfield.

He is survived by two sisters, Valla Geoghegan and Diana (Wilfred) Ratliff, both of Bardstown; one brother, Arthur Hatfield of San Antonio, Texas; five nieces, Ginger Geoghegan Dereksen, Martha “Myrt” Geoghegan, Diana Geoghegan McDonald, Heather Hatfield-Erter, and Holly Strauch; one nephew, Lenard Geoghegan; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery with Chaplain Terry Troutman officiating.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, and 9-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to Humane Society of Nelson County.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
