E’town man indicted on manslaughter charge for fatal August car crash

Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 — The Elizabethtown man involved in a single-vehicle fatal accident in August on the Bluegrass Parkway has been indicted by a Nelson County Grand Jury.
Monte Wilson, 25, was indicted Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, on a second-degree manslaughter charge and for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
According to the indictment, on Aug. 5, 2018, Wilson was allegedly operating a motor vehicle in a manner “which creates a grave risk of death to another person,” leading to the death of his passenger, Amber Greenwell, 38, of Elizabethtown.
Wilson was also indicted for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions. He will be arraigned in Nelson Circuit Court on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018.
