Obituary: Audrea Alma Smither, 87, Taylorsville

Audrea Alma Smither, 87, of Taylorsville, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at her residence. She was the former Audrea Alma Sessions. She was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Tallahassee, Fla., to the late James Herbert and Earon M. Johnson Sessions. She was a former secretary for the Dean at University of Louisville Speed School and a member of the Simpsonville Baptist Church .

She was preceded in death by her husband, Plummer C. Smither Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (Roderick) Dorman of Bloomfield and Cindy (John) Murray of Frankfort; one sister, Montrell (Ronald) Myklevedt of Carrollton, Ga.; one brother, Carl (Carla) Sessions of Monroe, Ga.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen by the family. A memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at the Valley Cemetery Chapel. Burial is in the Valley Cemetery.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements.
