Obituary: Bernice Druen Parker, 94, Bardstown

Bernice Druen Parker, 94, of Bardstown, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at her residence. She was born July 31, 1924, in Hart County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a member of Bardstown Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, James A. “Jim” Parker; and three sisters, Delsie Druen, Lillian Skaggs, and Goldie Burba.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Parker of Bardstown; one daughter, Beckie (Ken) Hatfield of Bardstown; one son, Mike Parker of Napa, Calif.; one granddaughter, Sarah Hatfield; three grandsons, Jeremy Parker, Noah Parker, and Logan Parker; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with Dr. Randal Pollock officiating. A private burial is in Magnolia Cemetery.

Visitation is noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, and 9-11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to Bardstown Baptist Church.
