Obituary: Mary Florence Sapp, 83, Loretto
Mary Florence Sapp, 83, of Loretto, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at Springview Hospital in Lebanon. She was born July 4, 1935, in Loretto to the late Bernard Leo and Mary Zita Miles Cissell.
She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Rita Sapp; one sister, Geneva Walker; three brothers, Bernard, Harold & Tony Cissell; and one sister-in-law, Janet Cissell.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Leslie Sapp; three daughters, Linda Sapp of Loretto, Jane Watson (Wayne) of Mannsville and Donna Thompson (Bill) of Bardstown; three sons, John Sapp (Kaye) of Lebanon, Ricky Sapp of Loretto and Mark Sapp (Cathy) of Raywick;
one sister, Mary Jane Nugent (Ray) of Loretto; five brothers, Donald Cissell (Norma Jean), Joe Cissell, Leon Cissell (Rose), Bob Cissell and Charles Cissell, all of Loretto; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Cissell of Loretto and Shirley Cissell of Louisville; one brother-in-law, Tom “Leachman” Walker of Bardstown; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Loretto with Deacon Joseph R. Dant officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers are grandchildren: Robbie Sapp, Jeff Sapp, Greg Sapp, Courtney Taylor, Tanner Thompson, Tiffany Sapp, Tyler Sapp, Joe Ray Nugent and Julie Robinson.
The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
