Obituary: Anna V Gordon Pile, 90, Bardstown

Anna V Gordon Pile, 90, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at Signature Health Care. She was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Woodlawn. She was a longtime (33 years) employee of J. J. Newberry Department Store. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Eleanor Vittitoe Gordon; four sisters, Bettye Evelyn Gordon, Dorothy Collins, Margaret Mills, and Mildred Bunch; four brothers, Elmo, Harold, William, and George Gordon; and one nephew Jeff Bunch.

She is survived by her niece and caretaker, Peggy Nally of Bardstown; nephew, John Bunch Jr. of Bloomfield; three nieces, Nellie Jean Balkum of Wilmington, Del., Patsy Baird of Conroe, Texas and Barbara Bunch of Bardstown; one great-niece and caretaker, Rachel Christy and her children, Andrea Ethington, Gloria Christy, and Levi Christy; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is noon Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Mill Creek Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Shipp officiating.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go toward her service.
