Obituary: Leonard Dale Cheser, 61, Bardstown

Leonard Dale Cheser, 61, of Bardstown, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at his caregiver’s residence in Spencer County. He was born Nov. 14, 1957, in Shelbyville to the late Eugene and Patricia Ann Hahn Cheser. He was a retired lineman for Salt River Electric and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Boone Cheser; one daughter, Alisha (John) Hammond of Bloomfield; one son, Corey (Megan) Cheser of New Hope; two stepsons, Hunter (Sydnee) Boone of New Hope and Alex (Jessica) Boone of Bardstown; one sister, Koren (Roy) Gordon of Cox’s Creek; two brothers, Gerald (Angie) Cheser of Shepherdsville and Darryl (Margaret) Cheser of Bardstown; one granddaughter; and one stepgrandson.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with Bro. Tom Sparrow officiating. Burial is in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, and 8:30-11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the funeral home.

The family request that contributions be made in the form of contributions to the Alzheimers Association.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
